Avion Aerospace Group has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Aeronautical Engineering Department of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), marking a significant milestone in advancing Bangladesh’s aerospace innovation and education.
The agreement was signed on 7th August 2025 at MIST’s campus in Dhaka. The MOU was signed by the Head of the Aeronautical Engineering Department on behalf of MIST, and Ruhul Amin Rana, Founder & CEO of Avion Aerospace Group.
Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to foster joint research projects, technology development, student training programs, and industry-academic partnerships to strengthen Bangladesh’s aerospace capabilities. The partnership will focus on UAV technology, aircraft design, and advanced aeronautical engineering solutions tailored for local and global markets.
Speaking on the occasion, Ruhul Amin Rana expressed,
“This MOU is not just a formal agreement — it is the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will shape the future of aerospace technology in Bangladesh. Together, we will create opportunities for students, researchers, and innovators to contribute to the nation’s technological growth.”
The MIST Aeronautical Engineering Department echoed the sentiment, highlighting that this partnership will open new doors for hands-on industry exposure, innovative research, and cutting-edge technological development for its students and faculty members.
